Rooster's Rant

Friday August 6 – Hello August!! Hello Fun days in the Play Yard!

It’s officially August! AUUUUUGUSt.  It just sounds better with a whole lotta U’s.  You know it does.  Anywho, Summer Raspberries are done for the season, but we still have Red Currants.  As mentioned in the last blog cooler nights will bring on our Fall Raspberries and Strawberries in the next week or two.  When they do become available it’s important to remember that this  is a small crop (compared to our summer berries ) with limited picking.

Our Farmers markets continue through the month of August here at the Farm weekdays 9am – 5pm and weekends 9am – 5pm.  Our Summer festival is open 6 days a week 10am – 4pm (closed on Mondays).

Did I mention how much corn we’ve been eating on the farm.  Just can’t get enough!! and every week it’s sweeter and more tastier than the week before!  How much corn do you think you can eat before you turn into corn?  Well, I don’t have to worry about it, I am a Rooster and eating corn is in my blood.  But you humans would look pretty funny with corn husks for hair. HA!
